KMP Returns to Racing after 9 Years Absence

March 25, 2011

Burleson, Texas -   After a 9 year absence, Kelly’s Motoshop Promotions Inc. (KMP )  is making a return to the professional auto racing. KMP, one of only a select few motorsports sponsorship and marketing companies that specializes in road racing programs, has a long successful history establishing and building corporate sponsorship and marketing programs and partnerships.

“The timing is right for us to return to our road racing roots”  says Keith Kelly CEO of KMP.  “ I have been very bless to have been a part of and helped develop several premier teams, sponsors and drivers over the years.  Having been involved with motorsports since my youth attending events at Watkins Glen, NY, I have seen many business cycles through the eyes of the motorsports community.  I strongly believe that the economic downturn that has impacted  the racing community for the past few years has hit bottom.  Companies have started to realize that they need to start marketing their products and expanding their market share again and are looking for advertising mediums that provide result and significant value. Road racing is the ideal venue for business to business marketing as well as the sales of high end consumer products and services.  In my opinion, road racing will lead the racing recovery”.

KMP, which specialized in developing marketing programs and opportunities incorporating motorsports racing, has a long history of matching corporate sponsors marketing and sales objectives with racing opportunities at all levels.

“Road Racing is really set for a significant growth spurt and we want to be a major player in the revival of road racing in the United States.  We are going to concentrate our efforts at first on the SCCA Trans-Am Series” said Kelly.  That is the Series that we started out in many years ago and Trans-Am still provides a very solid value proposition.  Trans-Am also allows us to provide our sponsors and racing partners with a unique level of access to both teams and drivers at a sponsorship level that is very affordable.”

The Trans-Am Series is an automobile racing series which was created in 1966 by Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) President John Bishop. Originally known as the Trans-American Sedan Championship it has evolved over time from its original format as a manufacturers championship for modified racing sedans to its current form as a drivers championship open to GT style cars.. In its 41 seasons, the series held 446 separate races.

KMP has a long history of successful sponsorship partners including Compaq Computers, Wickes Lumber, Lennox, Trilithic, Anderson Windows, Capital Windows, DeWalt, ICI Glidden Paint, GripRite Fasteners, PLC Direct,  and many others.  Teams include LAC Motorsports, Miller Racing, LG Motorsports and Chris Pook Racing and Wiernicki Racing.
